Wrong Hight after Export of an orthofoto - Bug?

Hello,

I have a problem when exporting ortho projections.

I am creating side/profile views of archaeological features (excavation sections). However, when exporting, the heights (official height reference system) are no longer correct.

My workflow is as follows: I create a side view of a bounding box. Inside RealityScan, the heights are displayed correctly. As soon as I export these ortho projections, the heights in the world file are completely wrong — and there is no systematic offset either, the deviation appears to be essentially random.

For the export I am using the setting World file coordinate system → Image.

In this example, the last entry should be at 29.000 m. The ortho projection is 4 m tall and its centre point is at 31.000 m (from 27.000 till 33.000 m). Inside RealityScan, the heights are displayed correctly in the 2D view. However, after export the value shown here is 34.12 m.

Best regards Hape

Hi Hape,

you are right, there is a bug. We are sorry for that. We are working on the solution now.

Thanks otrhan! In the meantime, I’ve solved this using a Python script, thanks to the *.rsortho file and Claude.Ai. It contains all the necessary information for correcting the elevation in the Worldfile.
