Writing a Contributor Agreement

Hi,

Are there any good examples of contributor agreements for games available? I’d like to draw one together for non-paid and paid contributions to a UE4 game.

I’m talking about the type of agreement that designates ownership of contributed IP to the entity that owns the game.

Is this something that a lawyer needs to draw up, or can it be written up based on existing agreements?

I would just adapt an existing agreement that you feel is pretty close to what you want…though I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. :wink:

I think it is better to entrust this kind of work to a lawyer because you can make a big mess.
