I would like share my first real project in Unreal 5.4.
Around 3 month in the makeing, it just a showcase of some custom logic no C++ involved just pure Blueprinting.
I created a short cinematic as well,if anyone intrested please check it out and let me know your thoughts, and dont worry im hardened im getting a lot of hate on this showcase , so feel free to crituqe
As a WoW player for over 10 years now itâs always so exciting seeing fan-made trailers. They always seem to capture the essence of âclassic Warcraftâ. I honestly think this is a great showcase for just a few months of work. Do you plan on creating more WoW projects? Iâd be interested to see more of the iconic locations remade, for sure.
Congratulations, both for the project and for the cinematics.
I too have played WoW for many years and honestly seeing your project gave me both a nostalgic effect and the desire to try your game right away⌠it would be really very interesting as a âspin-offâ.
If you have done all this in such a few months, I am really curious to see what will come out soon
Thank you very much for the kind feedbacks! I really appreciate it!
To be honest, I had considered the idea of continue this before, but as I mentioned, unfortunately, Iâve received a lot of negative feedback and dislikes on other forums.
Because of that, Iâm not sure if Iâll attempt something like this again.
But Spolier for a next step I had a larger showcase idea in mind, which would involve a full battle scene with actual fighting sequences across multiple classes and races.
If I were to create another gameplay scene, Iâd probably choose Zangarmarsh, Silverpine Forest, or Tanaris, just for first thoughts. For the class,
I might go with a warlock since itâs more complex to develop compared to a melee classâor maybe a hunter. A hunterâs mechanics, like bow aiming and pet control,
would add interesting layers. Buuut for any caster, Iâd aim for a more interactive targeting system rather than a simple lock-on, where every lock on, will hit or can hit the target.
Which would be a really intriguing challenge to design. But oh boy, debugging that would definitely be a lot of pain for sure
Thanks again guys for the feedback, and I wish you all the best!
Iâm sorry that youâve received so much negative feedback; I hope at least itâs constructive so that you have the chance to know what to improve. In any case, donât give up â itâs clear youâre doing this with passion. Donât let your creativity be dampened; keep going and learn as much as you can.
Itâs really interesting that youâre adding other classes â a Warlock would be awesome (thatâs the class I used to play, by the way).
Just popping in again to say I definitely agree with @DaevisRowan. Keep going! Passion and enthusiasm are great factors with creating projects like this. Looking forward to seeing your future art
Thank you guys @DaevisRowan@PresumptivePanda so much for the encouragement and kindness,Iâm so grateful for the support. Your comments genuinely made my day!
Wishing you both all the best in your projects, and in life!!
