I’m a very old player. I started playing back in season 3 chapter 1 and I feel kinda cheated whenever I look back on many of the old battle passes.
Back then I was still in school and I had alot of responsibilities aside from that I had to take care of so alot of my time could not be spent playing fortnite.
I’m sure you heard complaints about the xp grind from back then so I won’t bother going into too much depth but it was very hard to earn tiers if you didn’t have hours to play every day, and combine that with poor skill and or questionable balance decisions that made it beyond frustrating to play (such as the mechs in season X which is a season I’m particularly bitter about since it had some of the best emotes and skins/styles I never got my hands on.)
I know the discussion of rarity over such skins and stuff is very in the room when talking about old battle passes and I fully understand that, I to would be quite bummed if all the rare stuff I had lost its merit over night so I’m not suggesting reselling them. I’m simply asking from reaccess to the old passes.
And on the topic of the challenge skins like the visitor from season 4 chapter 1 maybe you could have then be like a tier 101 but I wouldn’t be too angry if you kept them “vaulted” if we’re still using that term. And have the unlockable styles just become a xp challenge when you unlock the skin.
Season X had so much going for it considering it was kinda like the proto-og season before that became a thing so many years later. One of the things that made me want to drop the game when chapter 2 came out was the fact the unlockable style challenges were removed like they had been in season 4 chapter 1. If that was the status quo I wouldn’t have been as angry but every season between 4 and X had the challenges stay past the season so losing access to those also had me really discouraged from continuing and from where I’m sitting it looks like you all understood the challenge method for styles wasn’t that beneficial to the player as they’ve been totally fazed out.
As much as I wish this feature comes to the game for long timers like me I’m not going get to hold my breath but I and many other veteran players would really appreciate if you atleast thought about it.
