The reason I ask this question is because it would allow Battle Royale style maps to have more freedom and randomness to loot, preferable to the creator for what fits the style. We currently have the really old Legacy Custom Chest system, but that is really old and doesnt fit most maps I see out there, because that chest will drop the same loot every time. I also really appreciate the chest gallery we have, however sometimes it would be nice to have other loot tables that can can be specific to a map (like a blueprint or such) so that we can have only primal weapons and gear for example. (I hope that makes sense) Also it does seem a bit common that those Chests bug out and sometimes dont drop loot, so being able to create our own loot tables so we know it consistently works would be amazing.
It would also allow for us as creators to allow more exploration for Players to search around maps for containers and other props to grant items (Similar to Save the World) which would also benefit open world style maps as well!
Current chest blueprints / actors already have a slot that calls / references for a loot table, however we cant utilize it because we dont have anything to make such asset.
