Hi, I am new to RC and see that 1.2 has orthomosaicing and use of control points.
Does anyone know if using something like the Trimble R1 GNSS receiver is possible in order to improve the results of a set of real earth coordinate system absolute accuracy used within reality Capture 1.2?
The use of Ground Control Points in RealityCapture has been welcome for a while. For the most of the time we recommend georeferencing with GCPs rather than with images’ exif data.
Mark the location in the terrain where you want to put your point. Measure their coordinates with GNSS receiver and create a GCP file which you can import into RealityCapture. This file can contain coordinates and their accuracies. You can find more in the app help in the section Ground Controls Import.
