Hopefully one day to be playable in multi-player about 50 players per server… But getting a map big enough to where you’re not rubbing shoulders every 5 minutes is my issue.
I don’t want to dump hours into an environment that’s going to be too small, So i made a giant 50 x 50 km map in world machine. But have read that a single height map in UE4 can only be about 5 x 5 km.
And if i were to use world composition it does not support multi-player, is there an easy way to accomplish this?
i was hoping for a seamless world without load screens.
Anything bigger than 5k causes physics issues. Reorigining is not supported in multiplayer, I don’t know if it ever will be.
Have you tried the 5k x 5k map? It’s actually pretty decent in size. Also a lot easier to craft with an appropriate level of detail than one 10x bigger.
That being said, larger mp compatible worlds would be nice. It will probably happen one day.
it would be very nice, i was going for a map somewhat like rust, but i read it was really only a 6k playing size, the rest was dead space, so i guess i should just put some detail into it and see how it pans out
