World Sculpting Help

Hi guys, need some pointers… I am trying to build a world (with specific detail/ shapes).
What I am trying to achieve is an asian world, with lots of mountains, then a basin with rice terrace and 2 path leading from a village, one to a big town then into a forest with a big cave, while other end of exit leads up into the mountains with temples and such.

Problem now I find is, it is hard to do micro sculpting in world machine + UE and linking to macro level easily.

How do you guys normally do it? All the tutorials I see online mostly are macro level (using heightmap, world machine) or micro level (using meshes stacking rocks etc to form small landscape)

What is the a way to do it on a macro scale then adjust micro level easily. I did a heightmap, imported into landscape, but the terrains can’t me sculpt micro level nicely so that I can put in meshes to fit into the macro level…
