Because building the world partition minimap doesn´t work for most people, how about using own textures?
As I have understand, it uses render targets to produce textures, but this takes hours or days even with a small 3x3km map in my case…
In first 5 minutes my CPU cores (i7-13700K) where all on top and then got back to idle.
After 8 hours where nothing happened, I have aborted it, no minimap available, not even a small part of the world…
If you create an own minimap with a render target in ortho view, it takes a few minutes and it´s done.
Would be nice if own textures could be used as the world partition minimap ^^
