Got a problem with world partition.
So i’m using the new streaming geo from 5.6.1 that loads in async (including collision!). Works great!
However On one of my levels it become perma loaded.
So the circles are whats suppose to be loaded. The GIANT green square is whats loaded and shouldn’t be. I think it’s the “World Partition Content Bounds” or whatever that is (gpt). The reason i think this is because if i place something outside of it it’ll just expand to encapsulate everything.
Things I’ve tested:
A different level
- Everything works as it should. No random huge perma loaded area
PCG
- removed everything pcg because i remember one time pcg crashing with the level streaming
- Also i did dabble in Hierarchical Generation with pcg on this map…but don’t know if that caused this.
Golded rule
- Turned off world partition and turning it back on again…didn’t work
And yes the only things that are streamed are the 3 circles. No where else on the map streams. Also everyone is set to Is spatially loaded.
It feels like something somewhere got switched and instead of world partition unloading everything it loads everything. But I’ve spent 2 days on this and am lost.
Also i don’t use landscape its just a bunch of meshes and ISMS and stuff….however I do not have a mesh the size of that HUGE green cube.
Oh almost forgot
Found this thing which i thought was the cause (its a bounds box i think). I clicked the load and unload things and it did unload the entire map. I deleted this thing. Did not help. I have no idea where this localization thing came from (i did not place it). Or how to get it back….because i deleted it.
