Summary
Selecting an actor using the world outliner does not update the Transform gizmo location during Play in Editor mode.
Steps
- Create a blank C++ project with no starter content
- Create a Sphere and a Cube in the level
- Play in Editor
- Eject with F8
- Select the cube in the world outliner
- Select the sphere in the world outliner
Expected behavior:
Transform gizmo centered on the sphere
Actual behavior:
Transform gizmo stays stuck on the cube (or whatever object was selected first)
Workaround: If the gizmo is used it snaps back to its proper position. If the object is selected directly in the viewport gizmo is updated correctly
