World Machine Tiled Terrain import error

Hello I get this lovely error when importing the heightmaps–

Failed to save the map. The filename ‘…/…/…/…/…/…/Users/Digimortal/Documents/Unreal Projects/VR_test/Content/main.output/main.output_x0_y0.umap’ is not within the game or engine content folders found in ‘C:/Program Files/Epic Games/4.11/’.

I have never seen this error before. I have used blank project to different kinds of starter projects and kept everything to default save locations and still get the error. I have not changed default path or install path for projects or the UE4 install.

The projects folder has always been in the Documents folder so why it is obsessed with my heightmaps being in the game or engine folders is beyond me.

Having the exact same problem right now.

hey i figured it out. stupidly i was renaming the output files for the height maps they have to be RAW16 format no matter what and do not rename them. the other smaller erosion maps and height info and be regular RAW format. i hope that helps!

Delete all dots from the filename, except last “.r16”
