It would be super handy if we could model out our terrain on a one tile level, export it to world composition (WC) and then drag it to the desired size we actually want our play area to be. As of right now, there are no free programs that allow you to import a large tiled map for WC. If nothing else, a better tutorial video explaining all the ways to utilize WC and third party programs (and just World Machine).
I generate my lndscape tiles with the free version of World machine.
When i want to import them into WC as a tiles terrain, I cut the large heightmap into tiles with photoshop (it would even be possible in mspaint) and then just follow the documentation:
Name the tiles with the _Xn_Yn suffixes and then import it.
Works like a charm.
