World- and asset creation workflow question

Hello everybody, I am into Unreal Editing, using 3d Studio Max for model and asset creation. But I am a little bit struggeling with the workflow. Is there any good tutorial I can follow? I searched the internet but couldn’ t find anything. Maybe some of the pros here and can help me out with some tipps or their workflow?

There are different workflows to consider, but since you are working with 3d Max and aiming for worlds and assets, I think the best approach would be to work with Datasmith. The tool should allow you to keep all elements in your 3dmax project, and transfer them correctly into UE (materials, hierarchy, lights, cameras, etc).

Simply find the plugin from the site, and download it for your UE version:

Once installed, you should be able to export your assets from Max as .udatasmith files, which can then be imported into UE, keeping all elements and attributes you added in Max.
