Working with Construction Scripts in Sequencer

I am using a pre-made asset that runs via Construction Scripts that animates via vertex animation, and renders via Sequencer very well.
However, of course, it’s hard to control via Sequencer, since I have to run Simulate and just let it run, having no way to scrub on the timeline to see what would happen frame by frame. Need to hit play from the first frame every time.
I like how the asset looks on render, though, so was wondering if there was maybe a way where I could better control the asset via Sequencer? Maybe generate baked animation keyframes, or directly manipulate the vertex animation? (I see the vertex animation’s material has a number of parameters that the Blueprint seems to be interfacing with, but this is out of my knowledge level )
