Hey guys. I’m going to buy a laptop for the institute, almost basically a MacBook Air, but I want to know if it’s possible to work on it and how convenient it is? I’m leaning towards the 15.3 24gb 512gb M4 configuration, because I thought it wouldn’t be productive otherwise. I will work in the engine exclusively on small spaces with more experimental logic to then transfer it to my Windows PC. Tell me, who used this choice is considered a productive solution?
if you only do some experimental logic testing, new M4 serial macbook products are suit for your need and are very handy, it’s a awesome product, all DRAM can be used for VRAM, all free space of storage (SSD) can be used for DRAM , compiling source code also very quick .
I have a 12C-16C , 24G , 512G mini M4pro , i used it for assembling metahumen , super fast , i love it….
PS: you should always keep the free space of storage more than 150G, otherwise you will see this warming and have to terminate UnrealEditor app
