workflow for using surveyed ground control points?

What is the workflow for using surveyed ground control points (targets) with 100+ photos?

I seen this video and it helps some:

Hi Bill
yes this one is for small datasets.
for larger ones is better to use a bit different scenario, so GCPs are added faster, will create and put here

Thanks Wishgranter, looking forward to it.

Hello,

Is it the same way how to add also the lidar pointclouds for aim to matching with photos? How the program can match the photo sets and lidar information?

Br, mika

Hi Mika, yes same way

but see how im spread the TIE points, as TIE points help to get a “rought” position of the components.
If it set correctly, it will use even detected feature points for the final alignment

if stuck somewhere let me know…

Hi Mika,

How the program can match the photo sets and lidar information?

You need to scan with colors. Also make sure your scanner is calibrated. Sometimes color and intensity channels are pretty off, even 10px. System uses the color information primarily to connect photos and lasers.

Hi Wishgranter,
I suspect that you are very busy, but I wanted to check if you were putting something together to show the scenario for adding GCPs faster for a larger project.
Bill

Hi Bill,

here are the control point editor rules listed -
