We are working on a prototype. We have everything at the moment except for a programmer(s) . I have read up on how the system works but rather give someone who knows what they’re doing a chance to help with this project.
We tried to make this as detailed as possible. We are throwing out every single thing that you would help us with
For the programming section
This is just programming, so don’t need to worry about models, animations, etc. Though helping putting the assets into the game would help.
We are trying to make a “simple” prototype which includes
-Main character-
—running
—swinging sword (x3 of these. One swipe, two swipes, and three swipes combo)
–jumping (potential)
–blocking (potential)
–getting hit (and thus loosing health. See below for that)
–full defeated. Defeated text appears then fade to title.
-----attacking enemies with the sword will be the hardest part of this
–Super simple A.I for enemy(almost non-existent, just a circle trigger bubble around the character. When the Main character overlaps it the enemy starts to move towards main character
–trigger to when all enemies are defeated in a small room that a tiny of light + sound effect occurs (this happens in two rooms)
–two light pillars which get triggered by getting the tints to appear by defeating those enemies in those two rooms. When both pillars triggered a wall moves down into ground
–move a wall into a ground when passing a certain trigger area
–a scoring system (maybe)
–a health system
–having the ability to touch and thus obtain health boosters floating in level
–the ability to read signs by text appearing on screen when near a sign and prompted (by floating text that appears near sign when you get near) to click a certain button (also able for that text to disappears when done reading it by a click the same button)
–able to make text appear on screen at the beginning
–title screen with just a “start” button trigger
–an end button at end of demo
For particle section
(If you are applying for the programming section and feel comfortable with choosing/helping putting the particle effects together let us know. We do not have assets/graphics for these)
need (all small, in terms of screen space. Will be over head of defeated enemy)
-hair particles
-straight line when swiping sword
–This section happens all at the same time when you defeat an enemy
-a “poof” of hair when character fully defeated
-firework
-score of defeating that particular enemy. This would appear and then float upwards and fading at same time)
–able to make an enemy disappear when defeated
