Work Firewall blocks "Games"

I work in a tightly secured environment from an IT standpoint. I have approval for installing Unreal Engine for a project and our IT department was able to create a firewall exception so I could download the launcher. However when I try to run the launcher it fails and gives and error that it’s unable to connect to it’s server to start the download process.

Is there a way to get Unreal Engine 5 without the launcher? It’s difficult to even search the forum because everything tagged “Games” is blocked on our network.

If you Build the unreal engine editor from source code you don’t need the launcher, but you’re going to need more than 100GB of space and it will take a lot of time to compile (even few hours depending on the hardware).

I would try to contact the system admin and ask him to make an exception in the firewall for your PC because you won’t be able to use assets from the store if the launcher is blocked

If you pay for an enterprise license, you can also request a stand alone installer for the engine.
