Hello, I made cunstruction made of beams with different orientations. Now I want to apply a wooden material in Twinmoition and I’m not able to make the wood orientation the same on all sides of the beam.
How can this be fixed? I used the standard Plywood 02 texture, but I have t he same effect with the others as well. Best regards, MichaelHi Michael - I’ve run into this issue with grain directions. Depending on what 3D software you’re modeling in I could recommend assigning separate placeholder textures in your model. With different placeholders assigned you can drag the wood texture from the main palette to the placeholder. When you do this the TM texture will have the same name, but they can be manipulated separately. For example, if you assign a texture in your modeler called Grain Direction 1 to the side of the beam, and then create a new one called Grain Direction 2 to the bottom of the beam. Once you bring that into TM you can drag the wood texture from the main palette to number 1 and then again to number 2. You can then rotate and control their properties separately. It’s a little wonky, but I hope this makes sense.
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanaition. I figured out that the UV was not correctly set in the 3D software and I could quickly fix it in Twinmoition by applying the material with a cubic UV. But next time I have to do it proper before exporting.
