With Win10 + DX12 here, when do we see multi-GPU support?

See topic. Just curious, now that we have Windows 10 and DX12, what is the timeframe for seeing multi-GPU support in UE4 games? Months? Years? Never?

It’s not likely because that system requires the developer to specifically tell it what things to send to each GPU. Each game has a different mix of graphics features so something that is in use a lot in one game might not be used at all in another which means that the multi-GPU feature of DX12 has to be configured for each game. Perhaps there will be some tools included in UE4 so that you can configure your game yourself, but it’s not going to be a universal thing.

Unreal Tournament, maybe, since it’s an actual game they can set up how it would work with that feature, but not likely for UE4.

So has any thought gone into this?

You probably won’t see SLI support until the game is officially released, not during alpha or beta.
