Hi all,
I’m working on a game set in a tropical island chain. Here’s some screenshots of it:
This is the coastline. I have driftwood spawning along the coast, planning to add some seashells and other items to spawn along with it shortly.
Running through the jungle, the terrain is all 100% randomized with each game so you never have the same map. Still working on finishing touches for the mainland but overall I’m pretty happy with it:
Lastly, if you go underwater I’m working on seaweed and coral reef placements. This is still a very heavy WIP section. I love the assets but I’m working on their sizes/frequency/etc. Trying to get towards a realistic coral reef look but it’s a big challenge to make something dynamic and random but realistic looking. Most of the assets in this screenshot came from the Coral 2 pack, it’s really awesome

I’m looking for a good texture to use for the sand. The one I’m currently using I’m just not happy with. Feels like it just doesn’t work with everything else.

Feedback on the coral reef. Having trouble making this really pop. Granted I haven’t added fish or bubbles, those are coming. I am going to add some rocks too, but right now it feels like it’s missing something and I’m not sure what.
