Win64 error whenever updating Verse code and loading Session

I have been learning Verse and am consistently running into an issue. Whenever I save and build my Verse Code, then attempt to launch a new session, it freezes and I always get a Win64-Shipping.exe Not Responding issue.

I have included my computer’s specs, if that helps.

Hi there, maybe I can help!

A few questions -

Is it one specific Verse script or all Verse?

Does this occur when you run through this tutorial in a new project?

What software are you using to edit your Verse script?

Using Visual Studio Code, it happens whenever I run any code.

Visual Studio Version

Thanks!

And just to confirm, projects without Verse script (or with prewritten Verse script, like the Verse Template) launch correctly?

That is correct. Every so often I have a Win64 error, in any project, that causes me to have to relaunch UEFN. However, the error is persistent whenever I attempt to write and push Verse Code. In fact, just minutes ago I followed a tutorial, saved the Verse Code in Visual Studio, and then built the Verse Code in UEFN and clicked on “Launch Session” and the Win64 error came up immediately. Upon relaunching UEFN and clicking “Launch Session”, the session opened up Fortnite and logged in without issue. The changes I made in the Verse Code and the UEFN Project session did save, and the code did run upon relaunching.

It may be a good time to mention that I will go to launch UEFN periodically, and it won’t launch the prompt to select a project, and just receives the Win64 error right after launching. The pop-up window with information about upcoming Epic events, that window will sometimes not show-up and when that happens the Win64 error is present and I am unable to launch or interact with anything. A blank project screen appears and that is all.

Thanks! Apologies for the questions, wanted to narrow down potential causes.

Will have to go investigate. I’ll drop you a line if need further information. Sorry this is happening!
