Hi there.
Recently using Unreal and been learning slowly but surely with good resources that make the process easier. I have yet to code anything in C++ in Unreal, but come from a MonoGame/Unity C# background. Some GameMaker with GML as well. Blueprints are cumbersome, but manageable somewhat.
My question is; is there even a zeptogram of a chance we’ll be getting Verse for UE5 soon? I know this is absolutely absurd to ask, but hear me out. Considering UE’s C++ integration is… well you’re gonna be seeing VS crash a lot, why not just use some proprietary language that exists from UEFN, which is literally in the same ecosystem. I don’t know too much about it, but it’d be very nice having to write ACTUAL code for A LOT of things, especially when it comes to modular systems, decoupling and optimization, you can’t get from visual scripting.
