Will there be any Vehicle templates available in the future like with the current UDK eg wheeled, hover, chopper.
or will we have to program it in from the ground up

Hello George,
I apologize for the delay in response. I have reviewed what you asked, but unfortunately since that feature is currently in development, any information or tips may not apply after the next change. However, once vehicle blueprints/templates are implemented, we will be able to more fully explain how to develop your own. We are very excited to bring in vehicles as soon as we can, so keep your build up-to-date.
Thank you,
Alexander
thankyou for the info Alexander, looking forward to wizzing around in rocket
Hi George. Yes, we have other sample games planned beyond ExampleGame. There’s no time frame yet as these are still in development, so please stay tuned.
Thanks Leslie, i’ll just carry on learning then
been digging about again and noticed a few vehicle items, then i wondered how on earth do i make a start with them.
made a blueprint from wheel, just defaults
made a blueprint from vehicle empty
made a VimBlueprint from my mesh
any tips or pics where to go from here
The vehicle code is not currently in a very usable state, but there will be a major update to it very soon. Right now we are only planning to support wheeled vehicles, but a flying/hover vehicle should be relatively easy once that work is done.
thanks James, it’s nice to know vehicles are on the books, i do realise it’s a lot of work to get right, gives be a bit more time to learn other things
