This is the best way i found to export Xgen hair to Unreal with RootUV’s, and even though there are some issues i was never able to fix with the hair it works.
Issues i found with the hair in Unreal, normals/smoothing groups being hard instead of soft like in Maya, unable to get the V direction in order to create a tube effect in the material like in Xgen only the U direction along the length of the hair works.
I wish the script was easier to use, maybe an integrated script in Maya like a plugin, just open it in Maya select the objects like in the script and export, no need for command prompt, etc.
