Since UE4 and UDK deals with different units & scale, I need to scale up some of my skeletal meshes when I import them into UE4. I know from experience that changing the scale/size of skeletal meshes can be a real pain in the *** and lead to crashes and unstable behavior, but wondered if this “works” in UE4? Is it just as simple as scaling a player model in the Character Blueprint using the scale tool, or should i do it the hard way & reimport a skeletal mesh with a proper scale?
Ok. So it seems skeletal meshes go all wonky if you scale them non-uniformly, but works well if you scale them uniformly. I guess I can scale up my skeletal mesh without problems then, if nobody from Epic strongly suggests otherwise
Please add the ability to change the default skeletal mesh size. At this moment we can do it for meshes (build scale) and its very usefull and we hope to see it for skeletal mesh as well.
