Will I get less players if I use a template map from Internet?

Hello,

I was wondering if using and publishing template maps from the internet reduces my chances of attracting players. By “template maps”, I mean pre-made maps that already include assets, code, and other elements that are set up and functional

As you can see here (The Rules 1.6: Be Original), you are not allowed to publish any other person’s work.

If you do so, you will not get any benefit from the people who may come to play your island, and you may even be banned.

Hello again!

That applies for any content that wasn’t created by you. You cannot publish a template as it is.

What you can do, is to use a template as a starting point and add your own design and features to it, remove the features you don’t need, make it unique and different from any other island made based on the same template.

If you manage to create an entertaining and immersive experience, the public will be more attracted to your island! Even if it is based on a premade template.
