I was thinking how cool it would be to combine this level
with NVIDIA’s VXGI to see how it visually compares with the original SVOGI system.
No. No public engine build ever had SVOGI. If it hasn’t happened by now, it’s not happening.
They can’t share commercial tech owned by other companies.

The entire (extended) cinematic has been available to download from the launcher for a long time (coming on four years now).
Ah, sorry I guess I should have been more specific here - in the SVOGI demo video, the level starts in a different room with statues, followed by the “Orrery” room with floating planets. I was only curious if Epic would ever release THAT version of the level.
I would really like to know what happened with such a beautiful GI solution. Yes I know we can use VXGI branch, but it is not built in and incredibly performance heavy. And LPV, even combined with DFAO does not produces even nearly good looking results.
SVOGI was removed because it wasn’t a complete solution, they need something that runs on the current consoles and most gaming PC’s, it’s held back at least by the Xbox One.
