Will C ++ Code compiled with 4.18 work in the newest version of Unreal 4?

Hey Guys,

I doing a lesson that was compiled with Unreal 4.18. Can I show how save it and then open it up once compiled in Visual Studio and make it work some how with the latest version of Unreal 4?

Also, why do they make so many things incompatible with the new engine version they release?

What the hell is up with that? Why do they do that?

Thanks->

Maybe… probably not.
Epic Games has hundreds of C++ programmers working every day so they inevitably push a lot of changes to engine code every release.
Most of those changes come from some game project people are working on and the engine had something missing for that project in particular to be developed faster.

Thanks. I guess I will have to roll with the tide…
