I added a new page to the wiki, however it doesn’t fall into the existing categories. It is conceptual documentation/explanation. Not a tutorial or a code snippet.
For now I tagged it as a tutorial since it is more of a walk-through than a reusable snippet of code, but it would be nice if there could be a new category or we could redefine an existing category to include type of material.
Maybe it could be divided by discipline (programming vs. content creation) with high-level descriptive things at the top level within programming and a sub-category for code snippets.
(I’m planning on doing something like for replication pitfalls so it’d be nice to figure out where sort of stuff should go.)
I did notice some video tutorial pages that could use a more specific category, they are tutorials ofcoarse but it would be nice to have the option to filter between video and/or text depending. I would consider page on Garbage Collection API reference honestly.
Thank you for the contribution . I think that it fits well as a tutorial because it is a guide, but if you think it would fit well in a different category, I am open to any suggestions. The wiki is very malleable and we planned on possibly changing categories to better suit the needs of the users.
I can see the benefit in making a Video category for pages that are accompanied by videos. Once embedding is implemented, it will be very common. If you ever feel a need for a category, go right for it, we want you to feel empowered to use the wiki as needed. Please let me know if I can ever help you out with it.

I think the Tutorial category is good enough. What it need though is subcategories (only single level), like:
Blueprints.
Programming.
Level Design.
Art Cration.
Particles.
These subcategories could be split further or have their own subcategories, but personally, I think to many nested levels of categories just makes information hard to find.
It could soon be looking like under B letter there will be so many entries, that you won’t be able to even tell what are you looking at (;.
I agree that fits well enough in the tutorial category, even if it isn’t strictly a step by step guide. We could consider a general documentation category if there is enough demand for it though.

It’s true. The community is amazing at sharing. We always planned to start looking into more granular categories and subcategories once the amount of content warranted it.
