Widget Set Tooltip Node Doesn't Work?

When I set my Widget Overlay as a Variable and use the node “set tooltip” It works to set it to none, but when I try to set it to a Widget, it would seem it’s still set to none, I have the widget tooltip binded with a function, idk if it’s conflicting or not, I’m using this to update the tool tip when an item in the inventory has changed or been removed. To summarize, does anyone have any idea on why the “Set ToolTip” node doesn’t work when I set it to a widget? I’m still learning the ins and outs of ue4 and the coding behind it, started a few wks ago. thank you for your time.
