I googled and tried stopping some of the rendering stuff, like everything that is 3d, lights anything.
My “game” is more like an app, it uses only widgets to work.
What are the settings i need to disable, or things i should remove.
I know isn’t the best engine to make apps, but 500 mb is ridiculous.
I already have it made… so any information about what to disable or remove to get to a decent package size?
i am also looking to make a video about it if someone knows so more people will be able to find the answer because from what i see a lot of people are asking the same question.
I’m not completely sure but this happens a lot when you are trying to export small games where you care about the file size. I’m guessing that ue4 has a lot of buffer storage that allows things to happen that are impossible. E.g even though your app isn’t a first person shooter UE4 makes sure it is possible for it to be. There is most likely a way to cut down on this storage but I don’t really know sorry.
I searched everywhere to find the answer even tried emailing epic games but i don’t find a working customer support email.
Cant be that hard to make somewhere some options to make the file smaller.
My app is a mental health app , you add treatments with what meds are you taking, and every day you add a day in that treatment with information’s about how you feel.
And it calculates things like 80% of days you felt sad, 30% of days you had low energy
And when you change what meds you take, you can add a new treatment and add new days in that treatment. Then you can see every treatment how it affected you.
And on my phone, i have like 15-20 fps while using it and its 500 mb.
it should not be that big and be so slow i have nothing on tick every thing is calculated one time and then you just look around on what it calculated.
