Widget not interacting with override inputs

Hey all, I having an issue with a widget BP. I’ve been following a tutorial for making a inventory ( Unreal Engine - Spatial Inventory Tutorial (4/4) - YouTube ). But I ran into an odd issue with a border element not responding with certain action. Like Brush Color wont change when mouse enters the widget. The odd thing is that it will print a string before and after the " Set Brush Color". It also is supposed to be draggable but once it gets to the mouse button down faction it wont pass the return.

I’ve only found one way it works and it has me puzzled which is everything I’ve mentioned works when I hit my pause menu.

I missed a bool that was setting if the object had been changed since it wasn’t set it continued to create items and didnt update the widget
