Why would breast physics (only) not be working in character blueprint actor?

I have a character blueprint combining 2 meshes: 1 full body with head, and 1 hair.

The body has clothing and breast physics that work perfectly when the actor is placed as a skeletal mesh without hair.

When placed as a blueprint, the character animates well, and hair and clothing physics simulate well in play/simulate mode, but somehow the breast physics are lost.

I’m very new and probably just need to know something basic, but I’ve played around with different settings quite a bit, particularly the physics settings in the blueprint, as well as in the physics asset.

Any suggestions?

Update: I just discovered the “rigid body” and “external force” functions in blueprints, but don’t understand how to use them yet.

The documentation is not current and the functions won’t display as options without being forced, due to being contextually irrelevant.

What would make them relevant?

Is this a feature functional in UE5?

It would be great if this was a viable solution.
