Snow will not collect on horizontal surfaces like the stairs or rock ledge. On the roofs it collects on some of
the boards, but not the shingles. Any ideas? The answer is: -Material properties were wiped out due to Revit not including them in its FBX export settings -most surfaces had normal intensity set to 0 - I cranked it up to 75% -the horizontal stone surfaces had weather toggled off Why did I have to answer my own question? Is there a better and more pro-active knowledge base to find answers like a Discord server? Some of these questions are from 2 years ago with very minimal views and no answer yet. cheers
Hi, AFAIK snow lays on surfaces depending on their slopes. It seems that around 60° snow is scattered like dust, and above 60° then disappears. Roof overhang also prevent snow to lay under them (see image). Hope this helps.
thanks bud. That’s partially it. The main issue was the materials needed to have normals set to 75 or higher. A couple of the surfaces had weather effects shut off. Nice medieval scene!
