Why Twinmotion adds the same material to other objects that are not even the same thing, name or material. For example, I added a material to a mechanical diffuser and the same material was added to a casework that I had in the same room.
Hi ,
You most likely imported your model with the Collapse by Material hierarchy option. This groups all objects with the same material in your imported model to be grouped as a single object, which can help reduce model complexity and boost performance, or simplify edits.
If you re-import the model using the Keep Hierarchy option, you can retain the original hierarchy of the model so materials can be assigned separately.

Hello Raghib,
I did import keeping the hierarchy option, but sometimes it will happen anyway. That is why I didn't understand, because when I applied the material to a casework that I had on my Project keeping hierarchy option, twinmotion applied the same material to a diffuser that did not have the same material or name.
Do you know why this could be happening?
Thank you so much
HI,
In that case, this sounds like it is probably a bug. If you could share your files, please submit a bug report here and attach of copy of your Twinmotion file and the model you imported so our support team can investigate this. When sharing your file, make sure to use the Resource Collector in Twinmotion's Edit menu to compress your file so that all textures and materials are packaged to share.
Best,
Raghib
