I’m trying to produce from drone photos, they suppose to be geo-referenced, but all models I tried is leaning somehow, is there any parameters I choose wrong?
Hi Julian,
it looks like some of your images have quite big errors. Can you try to turn off the camera priors for such images and then align it again?
yes, seems solved, but why all pics from drone can’t use geo reference?
You need to check the coordinates for those images. I suppose they will be zeros. Then there could be some kind of connectivity lost.
The second issue is connected to a wrong capturing way - you are not suppose to capture the images from one spot: https://youtu.be/4qFl4k37dDc?t=50
no, the drone pics have coordinates correctly. no idea why they are not working properly.
and for same position capture, any solution for that? I not really sure have chance to capture it again.
After importing the images into a new project, are the images placed properly in the Map view? is it possible that some of the images are quite far away?
Regarding the pivoting images, you can try to disable every second/third image. You can try to import only part of your images, not all of them and then adding the groups. I suppose you will need to use more control points and using the GCPs would be very helpful there.
But as the capturing is not done in a proper way, it can be hard to achieve the wanted results.
yes, I realize some of pics have 0,0,0,0 GPS infor, maybe the building blocked the signal when capturing.
but when I disabled these wrong coordinates, same thing happens, the model still dont look correct.
Probably there are also other images with wrong coordinates. Can you turn all camera positions off and align the data?
I can disable all geo-referrence, and looks good, no leaning.
just wanna know why, next time will avoid, with geo-reference is better.
The coordinates for such small drones are not so precise. And as you signal could be interrupted by the building, this errors could happen.
Thanx, I will try again someday.
But when I finished alignment and put this into mesh calculation, it’s working very slow.
I have tried small parts earlier, its finished quite quick, this time for a big model, its takes more than I expect. already take 2 days running and not much progress. and the none of CPU GPU SSD RAM is fully used. I suspend it once and not helping.
Is it normal? or I need to restart it.
I see that you have over 17,000. Depending on your PC’s hardware configuration, the settings you are using and image resolution it will take some time to mesh.
What are your PC specs? Are you meshing in Normal or High detail? Have you changed any of the mesh reconstruction settings?
The GPU will be heavily utilized from the beginning of the mesh reconstruction during the Depth Map Calculation Phase. After that, the mesh reconstruction relies on the CPU, and some parts are GPU-accelerated. You can check what is going on the Console view.
Were you able to continue the mesh calculation?
