Question about the Creator program for Fortnite.
Why does being an island creator require 21 days of being in the editor? This is gatekeeping real developers from being able to publish anything unless they are just forced to sit idle in an editor, and it makes no sense. I’ve worked in game development and can learn/create anything in far less than 21 days, so I don’t understand why such an aggressive and strangely specific wall to climb over is required. And other people can spend up to a month in an editor and still not figure out how to use it, but suddenly they are qualified?
This is an instance (both methodically and artistically) where quality reigns over quantity, and if the Creator program is being regulated on quality then this is something that shouldn’t even be an issue. Please change this to something more realistic, like creators being encouraged to show a portfolio (cough cough Artstation cough Epic-owned cough cough) that they can produce quality content.
