I sometimes encounter meshes that are not capable of having materials properly. They only display one major color from the material instead of properly showing it. What is the reason? There is a huge gap in my knowledge that won’t let me sleep
missing UV data. so the material you apply gets kind of stretched infinately, resulting in roughly the color from the material, but no details. add a scaled UV to youre mesh before bringing it into unreal.
with software you use for modeling ? If you using blender check create uvs :). Same with Maya but it is in the sittings of the object itself . If you do that it’s should give you something . However . This isn’t always uvs that I prefer to use . And if you change geometry , scale the object or change it . The map are useless
Thanks it worked!
