Why "Set Global Time Dilation 0" Dosent Freeze time but just Slows it down ?

Simple Question here :

I noticed recently that using a “Set Global Time Dilation” to 0 dosen’t freeze time but just slows it down a lot.

However, if i use a “Set Custom Time Dilation” to Zero, it completely freeze time.

What are the reasons behind that ?


probably one of them has a cap. or it might be a float resoultion issue.
there’s a function to pause the game, use that instead.

I know i can pause the game, this is not an issue, i just want to understand what are the technical reasons why Global dosent pause and Custom does.

How much FPS you have when pause the time?

Around 80-90.

There is another way to freeze a charcter… it is setting the tick interval to zero… from the character point of view FPS=0… however the gravity still working. Is better like you are doing… i like the Matrix effect!!
