Why my render is completly black? Does anyone have the same issue? there are some solutions?

I'm using path tracer on the 2022.2 version with a datasmith file.

If i activate the p.t, the result it's what should be (2).

But if i export that view it's completly black (1)

Hi ,

Thanks for you message.

This is a known issue that is being investigated and as of now we do not have a timeline for it to be fixed.

There are a couple of workarounds that worked for other users:

  • Reduce the Effects Quality setting in the Preferences menu to Medium or Low.
    • Preferences (Ctrl+P) -> Quality -> Effects.
  • Hiding a sufficient number of objects in the scene graph. As a result, you should be able to use Path Tracer without the whole image going black.
    • Hide objects in the Scene graph that aren't visible in the image until Path Tracer begins to work normally. This should allow you to render the images and export them without having to modify your model.

I hope this helps until we can release a proper fix.

Cheers,

Francesco

Due to this problem I lost the order and my reputation with my client. Cleaned up several times via resource collector, made cuts by hand . And no, we didn't just blind-bang in super heavy polygon objects. We know what we do! Couldn't fulfill clients wishes!

Your response of not dealing with this issue is one of the greatest cheeks of all. Because this is where the core problem of your software lies. Due to the presumably internal management difficulties of the objects, apparently caused by a certain number of polygons/objects, your system "crashes" that way, but the stats left/bottom show that everything is fine. And you want to say that the biggest problem doesn't matter right now! Everything clear!

Your software is not suitable for production!

Btw as a solution: The only thing that needs to be hidden to have working renderings are those people who make these decisions!
