Why is unreal not opening on Mac?

so, I wanted to use unreal, but when I hit “launch”, epic games launcher just minimizes and then nothing else happens.
can someone find out whats up? I am VERY open to ideas.

oh, my dice specifications are
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Iris 1536 MB.

I have the same problem:
Failed to launch Unreal Engine 4.25.0

I just installed Unreal Engine 4.25.0 on my Mac OS: macOS 10.13.6 and can not run the application form the Epic Games Launcher - it crashes each time.

I’m not able to open the launcher either, it even crashed my entire operating system once.

My macbook specifications: macOS 10.15.5, 15-inch mid 2014, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.
