I am a game developer residing in Türkiye, currently working with Unreal Engine and AI-assisted development tools.
I was excited to discover the 2026 Epic AI MegaJam and successfully registered through itch.io. However, after reading the Official Rules, I discovered that Türkiye is listed as a restricted jurisdiction.
I find this concerning because the event is advertised as open to online participants worldwide, and the registration process did not clearly warn me about this restriction.
I would appreciate clarification on two points:
1. Why is Türkiye specifically excluded from participating and receiving prizes?
2. Could Epic Games provide a clear eligibility warning before registration, so developers do not invest days of work only to discover they are ineligible?
I hope Epic Games will reconsider this restriction or explain the specific reasons behind it.
