Why is this not adding the widget to the viewport?

Hello, I’m trying to do a basic on/off for a pause menu when the escape key is pressed. The problem is when i do hit escape, the pause menu isn’t being added to the viewport. What am i doing wrong?

I don’t think you need that “Is in Viewport” node. Also, what blueprint is this logic in?

I don’t see your CreatePauseMenuVar_Event being called?
