Why is the Single Animation Blueprint not showing correctly?

Im wondering what is the best approach to have 5 different characters using the same Animation Blueprint?

Currently the models of each character have different heights, and probably two of them will need more bones than the others.

Can they share a single Unreal Skeleton? or do they need different Unreal Skeleton which would mean they ned they own Animation Blueprint?

They can share the same Skeleton. Different proportions are fine and different bones are fine as long as the base hierarchy is the same. The documentation covers a few other things to keep in mind when sharing one Skeleton asset among multiple skeletal meshes also: LINK.
