Why is the FBX import not working?(UE 5.1)

Whenever I import an fbx in unreal engine 5.1 with the content browser or using the file option, it creates a whole mess of materials and components, to the extent that I even watched a tutorial about it; normally you wauld just get a material file, a normal map and the mesh, but now theres like a thousand individual components although its a pretty simple mesh and I dont know what to do with them, How do i fix this?
