My editor interface is highly bloated. The icons are large, the text is large, basically, every single thing is large compared to others.
In all the tutorials and videos online, the editor looks somewhat like this -
It looks like a magnified version of the normal. I have not changed any settings, and the layout is the default one.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Which screen resolution are you talking about? My windows display resolution is the recommended 1366 x 788 size. I don’t know about any screen resolution in ue4.
Problem found. I am using a laptop and its max resolution is 1366 x 788. I guess ue4 requires a higher resolution? Can I make ue4 use a lower resolution or am I stuck?
Thank for your time!

1366x768 is a common laptop resolution and it looks about right as is. There is a flag in the Editor Preferences for showing small tool bar icons which may help a little.
There is also DPI switch for hi res screen that scales UI elements up, not sure if you can scale it down - that would make text unreadable in many cases.
edit: also, you can right click tab headers and hide them, this will fold them giving you some extra pixels to work with:
Yes, I was facing the same issue. When I checked my screen resolution option in the setting of PC, there the size of text and icons was scales 175%. Now, I made 125% and everything looks fine now, I have plenty of screen size available on Unreal Engine’s interface
