Why is ‘On Component Hit’ still being triggered when ‘Simulation Generates Hit Events’ is not checked on both sides?

The character(BP_OrionCharacter) was jumping while standing on the wooden stairs(SM_Kit_ramp6), triggering the ‘On component Hit’ event.

This seems to be different from the description in the document —— “Simulation Generates Hit Events needs to be enabled to execute Event Hit, which is used in Blueprints, Destructible Actors, Triggers, etc…”

Could you please tell me where I went wrong?
