I previewed my World Partition’s grid and this is what happens, in two projects so far. This is the Open World template level. Why is this happening?
I want to know it too.
Did you watch this video? I copied it with playtime which mentioned the grid size issue.
I have a 4k monitor too. So it appears to be a problem with larger than 2k resolutions. I don’t know what to say. UE5 remains unready for production… Even this forum is a mess. I am struggling to make an answer to a post, always posts as a different response to the topic…
Hmm, This was reported on Aug 16th and it is still an issue.
On Engine 5.0.3, tried on 2K and 4K Monitor (I don’t have an 1080p monitor anymore)
- It seems it is only happening when
Lit
is selected on other modes grid is correct. - When I right click on screen (right click menu) or open snap or scale menus (top right of screen) or select 4 viewports it corrects the grid but as soon as the menu closed it goes back to incorrect grid.
- If I resize the viewport bigger than half screen it happens again.
- It doesn’t happen in one of my projects (I’m not sure how and why)
I would like to know if there is a bug queue to reach developers? since it seems they do not read community (A.K.A. unpaid beta testers) at all.
Yeah, and also the chunks of landscape disappearing unless streaming is off is also still an issue in 5.1 preview 2.
They promised us huge worlds and we got bugs and flickering chunks of landscape… I also realized they really don’t care about feedback which is strange.
With UE4 everything was zen, people listened to us and problems were addressed. But what can devs do if epic decided to release a half finished product? It was not their call…
Solved with the 5.1 update. It was a bug with 5.0.
